The National Council of Catholic Women (the national body to
which the DCCW belongs) acts through
its membership to support, empower and educate all Catholic Women in
spirituality, leadership, & service. NCCW programs respond with gospel values to
the needs of the church & society in the modern world.
NCCW/DCCW functions under 6 Commissions: Church, Community, Family Concerns,
International Concerns, Legislation and Organization and supports Catholic Relief
Services.
- Local projects include support for Birthright & Drexel Health Fair.
- Any Catholic Woman is eligible to participate.
- Meetings at affiliate churches
twice a year-Jan/Feb. & Mar/Apr.
- Bmt. District Membership-6
- Affilate groups: Our Lady of Assumption, Our
Lady of Victory, Our Mother of Mercy, St. Anne, St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, St. Pius.
- District Moderator- Rev.
Martin Nelson.
- Bmt. District is one of 3 districts to form Beaumont Diocesan
Council of Catholic Women. (Port Arthur & Mid County)
- Any Catholic Woman is eligible to participate.
- Individual memberships are
encouraged at $25.
- Each affiliate
pays $75. and $.50 per member.
