District Council of Catholic Women


The National Council of Catholic Women (the national body to which the DCCW belongs) acts through its membership to support, empower and educate all Catholic Women in spirituality, leadership, & service. NCCW programs respond with gospel values to the needs of the church & society in the modern world.


NCCW/DCCW functions under 6 Commissions: Church, Community, Family Concerns, International Concerns, Legislation and Organization and supports Catholic Relief Services.


  • Local projects include support for Birthright & Drexel Health Fair.
  • Any Catholic Woman is eligible to participate.
  • Meetings at affiliate churches twice a year-Jan/Feb. & Mar/Apr.
  • Bmt. District Membership-6
  • Affilate groups: Our Lady of Assumption, Our Lady of Victory, Our Mother of Mercy, St. Anne, St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, St. Pius.
  • District Moderator- Rev. Martin Nelson.
  • Bmt. District is one of 3 districts to form Beaumont Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. (Port Arthur & Mid County)
  • Any Catholic Woman is eligible to participate.
  • Individual memberships are encouraged at $25.
  • Each affiliate pays $75. and $.50 per member.
